I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life
John 14

  • The resurrection provides proof of the afterlife, assurance of access for all who believe, and meaning and purpose until we get there.

1. Is there a heaven, and how do I get there?

  • John 14:1-7

  • Heaven is in the presence of God. (“my father’s house”)

  • Heaven is a real place. (“If it were not so”)

  • Heaven is personalized for followers of Christ. (“I go to prepare a place for you”)

  • Christ will one day escort us to Heaven. (“I will come again and will take you to myself”)

  • Heaven assures us that we will dwell in Christ’s presence forever. (“that where I am you may be also”)

2. Is there a God, and can I know Him?

  • John 14:8-11

3. Is there a purpose to my life, and how do I discover it?

  • John 14:12-14
