I Am the Good Shepherd, I Am the Door
John 10

  • The presence of Jesus is protection against all of our fears.

Analogy of the Shepherd and Sheep

  1. Transparent: We are given a clear description of our need.

  2. Intimate: The shepherd lives with the sheep.

  3. Relational: He knows our name and our need.

  4. Redemptive: He guides us into green pastures.

  5. Accountable: We see a clear picture of our accountability and his authority

  6. Protective: He shields us from our enemies.

1. Jesus' ownership quiets our fears.

  • John 10:1-5 

2. Jesus' presence shields us from our fears.

  • John 10:7-13

  • Hired Hands:

  • Won’t stand for the sheep.

  • Won’t stay for the sheep. 

  • Won’t suffer for the sheep.

3. Jesus' love dispels fear.

  • John 10:14-18
